J&K Govt Releases List of New Assistant Professors in Higher Education Department
In a significant development aimed at strengthening the academic faculty within the Higher Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir, the government has recently approved the appointment of Assistant Professors in the field of Economics, Functional English, Arabic.
This decision, based on the recommendations provided by the J&K Public Service Commission, underscores the commitment to enhancing educational opportunities in the region.
According to Government Order No. 79, dated 16-JK(HE) of 2024 -02-2024, a group of selected candidates has been sanctioned to join as Assistant Professors (Economics) on a regular temporary basis.
These appointments, falling under the Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with AGP Rs. 6000/- (Pre-revised) and Academic Level-10 with a pay structure of Rs. 57700/-, are a step forward in augmenting the academic workforce within the department.
Furthermore, in addition to the appointments in Economics, the department has also released lists pertaining to the appointment of Assistant Professors in Functional English and Arabic.
